About

Hello! Working Through the Backlog is a weekly Video Game Blog where I (Alex Rinaldi) will be sharing my thoughts and opinions and various video game topics from movement in games, to rouge-like boss design, to whether or not Fire Emblem: Three Houses is really just a complicated Dating Sim. All of this is also in the context of me working through a roughly 170 game backlog, give or take a few.

You can expect an article every Sunday at 12 pm PST

Who am I?

My name is Alexander Rinaldi and I am a Los Angeles based nerd who really likes video games. I've played games from a very young age, and even learned to read so I could play a Spider-Man game on my leapfrog. Some of my earliest memories are of playing Mega-Man with my dad on his NES, and later the game cube, and I've been in love with games ever since. I focus mostly on RPG's, Metroidvania's, Strategy Games, and Rouge-likes, but have ventured into just about everything (Except Horror, but maybe one day!).

You can find me on Bluesky at @Aerinaldi13, where you will mostly find me talking games, observing the horrors, or talking about the Buffalo Bills (And now the Sabres I guess? Hockey team good.)
